Rhinoplasty Revision

Revision Nose Surgery and Revision Rhinoplasty:

Secondary nose surgeries performed due to the fact that the appearance is not as planned or desired after the previous nose surgery, deformity of the nose due to other reasons such as trauma or functional problems are called revision nose surgeries. Rhinoplasty revision surgeries, also called revision rhinoplasty, are frequently performed for the following reasons.

• Pointed tip of the nose, wide appearance of the tip of the nose as if there is a ball, asymmetrical
• Pinched nose appearance (Pinched Nose): It occurs as a result of too much removal of the nasal tip cartilages and too much compression with sutures to thin the tip of the nose.
• Bird's beak nose: It occurs when the bone arch is removed and the cartilage at the tip is not removed.
• Falling of the tip of the nose: It occurs after the nasal tip support is low or mucosal excess: It occurs as a result of removing the nasal arch but not providing sufficient reduction and shaping at the tip of the nose. 3-dimensional shaping and reduction solves this problem.
• The back of the nose is very hollow, curved, the tip of the nose is very raised and the nostrils are visible from the front (pig nose appearance) and the aesthetic nose where the nose is noticed from 100 metres.
• Keeping the nose long
• The nose remains large compared to the face
• Irregularities such as cartilage protrusion and collapse on the back of the nose
• Nasal wings remain wide, asymmetric, wings are above when viewed from the side (alar retraction)
• Functional problems such as difficulty breathing, obstruction
